“Iseul Kim Trio” gives voice to her memories through the power of jazz language. They implement techniques of composition and performance that are not often found, as they were forged through experimental use of instruments from all over the world. Together, with drummer Jaewon Lee and bassist Inyoung Kim, Iseul Kim’s storytelling compositions are brought to life.

‘It doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.’ - This is the message of the album True Me, which carries her life story and adventures. A spectrum of songs – written over a span of 10 years – is performed by the trio to convey an array of emotions and colors. The title “True Me” embodies the idea that one can be imperfect but still beautiful.
